About
The ruins of Čeklís Castle are situated on an elevated terrace known as Várdomb on the western outskirts of Bernolákovo.
The castle of Čeklís once stood on the western edge of what is today the village of Bernolákovo, occupying an elevated, terraced promontory long known locally by its Hungarian name Várdomb, meaning Castle Hill. This natural landmark provided the fortress with a commanding strategic position over the surrounding landscape.
Only modest ruins of the former castle have survived to the present day, yet they still bear witness to its historical existence at this site. The location retains a distinctly historical atmosphere and represents an interesting destination for enthusiasts of medieval heritage and the history of the region.
