About
The manor house of Saint Sophia on the northeastern edge of Ružomberok is a partially preserved fortified heritage site with deep historical roots.
On the northeastern outskirts of Ružomberok stands a manor house that was once dedicated to Saint Sophia. Originally built as a fortified complex, the structure served both defensive and representative purposes in the Liptov region.
Although only a portion of the original estate has survived to the present day, the remaining ruins still offer an intriguing glimpse into the area's rich history. The remnants stand as a quiet testament to the times when this manor played a significant role in the life of the surrounding region.
