About
Built around 1902 as a summer retreat for Count Eugen Čáki, the Prievoz Manor near Bratislava impresses with its eclectic late-Romantic architecture and a historic chapel that once served as a parish church.
The Prievoz Manor, also known as Čáki Castle, was built around 1902 on the outskirts of Bratislava as a summer residence for Count Eugen Čáki. The building dates from the late Romantic period and incorporates strong eclectic elements, reflected in its irregular floor plan.
Within the estate stands the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which played a vital role in the life of the local community. Until the Church of St. Vincent was constructed in Ružinov, the chapel served as the parish church for the surrounding area.
