About
The manor house in Liptovská Štiavnica is an originally Late Renaissance fortified structure, later rebuilt in the Baroque style, located near Ružomberok.
In the village of Liptovská Štiavnica, nestled in the south-western part of the Liptov Basin approximately six kilometres from Ružomberok, stands a remarkable manor house with a rich architectural history. The building was originally constructed as a fortified block structure in the Late Renaissance style, which characterised the architecture of its era.
In later centuries, the manor underwent extensive reconstruction, during which it acquired distinctive Baroque features. This transformation significantly influenced its present-day appearance, giving it a characteristic character in which two important architectural periods intertwine. The manor thus serves as a fascinating testament to the development of noble architecture in the Liptov region.
