About

The manor house in Nitrianska Blatnica is an early Renaissance fortified building located at the foot of Marhát Hill in the Považský Inovec mountain range.

Nitrianska Blatnica is a small village nestled in the northwestern part of the Nitra Upland, at the foot of Marhát Hill in the Považský Inovec mountain range. It is here that a remarkable historic manor house with original fortification elements can be found, dating back to the early Renaissance period.

The manor is considered a rare example of Renaissance architecture in southwestern Slovakia. Its defensive features indicate that the building served not only as a noble residence but also fulfilled a protective role. The preserved architectural details offer visitors a fascinating glimpse into the construction craftsmanship of the late medieval and early modern era.
