Castles and chateaux — okres Hlohovec

Hlohovec Castle is a Baroque-Classicist monument perched on a hill above the town of Hlohovec, built on the site of an earlier medieval fortress.

The Leopoldov fortress, located in the town of the same name near the Považský Inovec hills, has served as a prison for many years and stands as one of Slovakia's most historically significant fortifications.

The fortified Renaissance manor house in Horné Trhovište stands beneath the eastern slopes of Považský Inovec in the Nitra Highlands.

The fortified manor house in Koplotovce stands approximately five kilometres north of Hlohovec, above the floodplain of the Váh river.
