About
The Bohunice manor house is an originally Renaissance building on older foundations, later rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style, located at the foot of the Štiavnica Hills.
The manor house in Bohunice is one of the notable architectural landmarks of southern Slovakia. It stands at the foot of the Štiavnica Hills, at the northernmost tip of the Ipeľ Uplands, and its history stretches far back in time – the foundations of the building date from a much earlier period.
Originally constructed in the Renaissance style, the manor underwent significant changes over the centuries. Its current appearance is the result of a Neo-Gothic reconstruction, which gave the building the characteristic look typical of romantic aristocratic residences of the 19th century.
