About
Čabraď is a Gothic castle ruin perched on a rocky spur encircled on three sides by the Litava River, located in the Krupina Plateau southeast of the village of Čabradský Vrbovok.
Čabraď Castle rises on the tip of a prominent rocky spur, surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Litava River. This impressive Gothic structure is located in the Krupina Plateau, to the southeast of the nearby village of Čabradský Vrbovok.
Today the castle survives only as a picturesque ruin, yet it retains a majestic presence that attracts visitors with both the beauty of its preserved walls and the sweeping views over the surrounding landscape. Its natural position on a rocky promontory once provided excellent defensive advantages.
The area around the castle forms part of the scenic Krupina Plateau, which offers pleasant hiking trails leading directly to the ruins. Čabraď is therefore an appealing destination for lovers of both history and nature.
