About

Scarce remains of a noble residence near the village of Figa in the Rimavská Sobota district, largely destroyed during motorway construction.

In the cadastral area of the village of Figa, in the eastern part of the Rimavská Sobota district, modest remains of a former noble residence can still be found today. The castle or manor house that once stood here did not withstand the pressures of modern times — the construction of a motorway consumed most of its fabric.

Today, these scant ruins lie directly alongside the motorway embankment, serving as a forgotten reminder of the region's history. Although very little of the original structure survives, the remains still represent a valuable testament to the noble settlement of this area in bygone centuries.
