Hrad Mariánska Čeľaď

Hidden among the forests of the Mariánska Čeľaď wilderness lie the remains of a once significant Pauline monastery. This forgotten structure rests in a quiet corner not far from the villages of Podhájska and Veľké Lovce, where dense woodland shields it from casual visitors.

Although little survives of the original complex beyond crumbling ruins, these weathered walls still bear witness to the rich history of the Pauline order in Slovakia. For lovers of history and unspoiled natural settings, this site makes for a rewarding excursion into the lesser-explored reaches of south-western Slovakia.
