The Hrádok hill above Rudno nad Hronom preserves scant remains of a medieval castle on the edge of the Štiavnica Hills, overlooking the Rudniansky stream valley.
On the hilltop known as Hrádok — also referred to locally as Ivankov vrch or Ivankovo — lie the barely visible remnants of a medieval castle. This elevated site rises above the village of Rudno nad Hronom, at the edge of the Štiavnica Hills, overlooking the valley of the Rudniansky stream.
Only fragmentary above-ground sections of masonry have survived to the present day, yet they testify to the former existence of this fortified residence. Despite the modest remains, the site makes for an interesting destination for those who appreciate both history and nature, combining the geologically varied landscape of the Štiavnica Hills with the atmosphere of a forgotten medieval past.
