About

The remains of a medieval watchtower, including clearly visible stone foundations, can be found on a forested hill approximately 150 metres southwest of Vígľaš Castle.

Hidden on a forested hillock approximately 150 metres to the southwest of Vígľaš Castle lie the ruins of an ancient watchtower. Its elevated position once offered an excellent view of the surrounding landscape, allowing defenders to spot approaching threats in good time.

The remains of the stone masonry are still clearly visible on the site today, bearing witness to what was once a sturdy structure. Although only the foundations survive, the spot retains a mysterious atmosphere and makes for an intriguing destination for history enthusiasts and nature walkers alike.
