About
A Renaissance manor house built on older foundations stands on an elevated spot in the centre of Zolná, a village now forming part of the city of Zvolen.
In the village of Zolná, now administratively part of the city of Zvolen, a remarkable manor house stands on a gentle elevation in the very heart of the settlement. The building is Renaissance in character, though its foundations date back to a considerably earlier period.
The village is located approximately eight kilometres to the east of Zvolen, and the manor house forms the dominant landmark of its central area. It brings together the history of medieval foundations with the architectural expression typical of the Renaissance era.
