About
The small Renaissance fortified manor house in the centre of Klátova Nová Ves is a valuable monument of the local gentry nobility.
In the very heart of the village of Klátova Nová Ves, right alongside the main road, stands a remarkable building — a small Renaissance manor house with fortifications. Though modest in scale, it is a historically significant example of a noble residence that once served local gentry families as both their home and administrative centre.
The architecture of the manor reflects the characteristic features of Renaissance defensive construction that was widespread among the lesser nobility in Slovakia. Despite its relatively small size, the building offers a fascinating glimpse into the lifestyle and culture of the gentry, who even in more modest circumstances built residences that were both representative and well protected.
