The fortified Renaissance manor house in Motešice is located at the foot of the Strážovské vrchy mountains on the northern edge of the Nitra Uplands.
In the village of Motešice, situated at the foothills of two branches of the Strážovské vrchy mountains at the northernmost tip of the Nitra Uplands, stands a remarkable structure with a rich history. It is an originally Renaissance fortified manor house that has preserved to this day clear traces of its distinguished architectural heritage.
The manor house represents an interesting example of Renaissance fortification architecture in Slovakia. Its location at the boundary between the highlands and the uplands provided it with a strategic advantage while also placing it within a picturesque natural setting that continues to attract visitors today.
