About

Parič is a ruined lowland water castle on the East Slovak Lowland, with its remaining fragments located in the manor park on the eastern outskirts of Trebišov.

On the eastern edge of the town of Trebišov, nestled within a spacious manor park, lie the modest remains of the lost lowland water castle of Parič. The castle was built on the flat terrain of the East Slovak Lowland, where, in the absence of natural defensive features, a water-filled moat surrounding the entire structure served as the primary means of protection.

Only fragments of the original walls have survived to the present day, offering little more than a faint impression of the castle's former appearance and scale. Despite the sparse remains, the site makes for an interesting stop for enthusiasts of history and medieval architecture, particularly when combined with a leisurely walk through the surrounding park.
