About
Šariš Castle is an imposing ruin crowning a solitary andesite hill above the Torysa River valley in the southern Spiš-Šariš Highlands.
Šariš Castle rises above the valley of the Torysa River, perched on a solitary andesite hill with forested slopes in the southern part of the Spiš-Šariš Highlands. It stands as one of the most striking landmarks of the entire region.
Today the castle survives as a picturesque ruin that, despite the ravages of time, retains a commanding presence in the landscape. Visitors are rewarded not only by the sight of the well-preserved walls but also by sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
