Zrúcanina Sivý Kameň

Sivý Kameň is a ruined castle perched atop an andesite hill above the picturesque village of Podhradie, close to Lehota pod Vtáčnikom in the vicinity of Prievidza. Its position places it on the outer edge of the Vtáčnik mountain range, at the point where the highlands transition into the Ciglianské foothills and the Upper Nitra Basin.

Only modest remnants of the original fortification have survived to the present day, yet they offer visitors a fascinating glimpse into the history of this strategically located site. The andesite peak on which the castle stands commands wide views of the surrounding landscape, making it an appealing destination for history enthusiasts and hikers alike.
