About

Skároš Castle, situated on the western edge of the Slanské Hills, is today known for its preserved remains of medieval walls.

Skároš Castle stands on the western edge of the Slanské Hills, located directly within the village that shares its name. Of the former medieval stronghold, only remnants of the perimeter walls have survived to this day, yet even these modest ruins are capable of telling the story of the region's rich history.

The site is accessible to visitors with an interest in medieval heritage of eastern Slovakia. The castle ruins offer not only a historical experience but also pleasant views of the surrounding Slanské Hills landscape and the nearby countryside.
