About
Sparse remains of the medieval Súča Castle sit on the western spur of the Krásin ridge above the village of Dolná Súča in the White Carpathians.
Above the village of Dolná Súča, on the western spur of the Krásin ridge at the edge of the White Carpathians, stand the modest remains of the long-vanished Súča Castle. Only small fragments of the perimeter walls have survived, serving as silent witnesses to the medieval history of the region.
The castle once occupied a strategically advantageous position along the ridged massif, offering views across the surrounding valley. Today the site appeals mainly to history enthusiasts and hikers who venture into the less-visited corners of the White Carpathians. Despite their limited state of preservation, the sparse ruins still manage to evoke the atmosphere of a distant past.
