Hrad Trenčín

Trenčín Castle ranks among the most important castle complexes in Slovakia. It rises on a rocky spur of the Strážov Mountains directly above the town of Trenčín, giving it an imposing and unmistakable character. Thanks to its elevated position, it dominates the entire surrounding landscape and can be seen from a great distance.

The castle has undergone extensive restoration work, which has returned it to its former glory and allows visitors to admire it in an almost complete state.
