Košeca Castle, situated above the village of Košecké Podhradie near Ilava, survives today only as modest ruins of its former walls.
Košeca Castle once stood on a hilltop rising above the village of Košecké Podhradie, close to the town of Ilava. Today, only modest remnants of its perimeter walls survive, silently bearing witness to the medieval history of this region.
Despite its fragmentary state of preservation, the site retains a unique atmosphere. Visitors are drawn not only by the castle's historical legacy but also by the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape that open up from the elevated position above Košecké Podhradie.
